  • The Tree of Faith by Al-Allamah AbdurRahman al-Sadi

Al-Hidayah The Tree of Faith by Al-Allamah AbdurRahman al-Sadi

Allah SWT says,«Do you not see how Allah sets forth a metaphor of a good word: a good tree whose roots are firm and whose branches are in the sky? It bears fruit all the time by its Lord’s permission. Allah sets forth metaphors for people so that hopefully they will pay heed.» [Ibrahim (14): 24-25] Allah has likened the statement of faith, which is the best of statements, with a tree that is the best of trees bearing these noble characteristics. Its roots are firm, it is always growing and maturing and it bears fruit all the time, directing its numerous benefits and delectable fruits to its owner and others.  This tree varies greatly in the hearts of the believers, changing in accordance to the variation of the qualities that Allah has described it with. Therefore it is upon the servant to hasten towards acquiring knowledge about it, its descriptions, that which leads to its existence and potency, its roots and its branches. It is upon him to expend his efforts in actualising this tree in terms of knowledge and action for indeed his portion of goodness and success, happiness in this life and the Hereafter, is dependant upon the extent to which this tree [is implanted in his heart]. Al-Hidayah An Explanation Series by Al-Hidaayah Publishing- Hardback 4 Books Set

Three fundamental Principles of Islaam This is the English translation of Sharh Thalaathul-Usool by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen. This is an explanation of the booklet Thalaathul-Usool ("The Three Principles") by Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Abdul-Wahhaab, who wrote this in order to convey to every Muslim that which is obligatory upon him to know - in fact, the "three principles" are based on the three questions that we will all be asked in our graves. As such this book will be beneficial for everyone. Includes the original Arabic text. A critical study of shirk This work, which is a detailed explanation of one of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab's most important works, deals with explaining and refuting the evidences that were used by certain Muslim groups of his time to justify acts of shirk (the act of associating partners with Allah). It is entitled Kash al-Shubuhat, which literally translates as: 'the clearing of doubts.' Ibn Abd al-Wahhab intended in this work to expose the falsity and speciousness of these arguments by proving that the pagans whom the Prophet (pbuh) fought utilized the exact same arguments and fell prey to the same reasoning as these modern practitioners of shirk did. It is one of the most advanced works on the subject, and over a dozen different arguments and evidences used to justify shirk are presented and then refuted. In order to maximize the benefit of this work, introductory sections concerning other aspects of shirk not mentioned by Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab have been added by the author. To this end, the work discusses the definitions of shirk, the importance of knowing shirk, the difference between shirk and kufr, the types and categories of shirk, the history of shirk, the evils and futility of shirk, the causes of shirk, and other related topics. In addition, a brief biography of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is included as a preface to the text of this book. This work is undoubtedly the most comprehensive study in the English language of shirk, and hence an essential book for those who wish to understand this great evil known to man Kitab al Tawhid This book is a brief yet extremely beneficial explanation of Muhammad ibn Abdal Wahab's famous Kitab al Tawhid. The book, as the title suggests, deals with the subject of worshipping Allah alone without associating partners with Him. The author highlights many matters that have become common among Muslims even though they are clearly acts of Shirk , or, associating partners with Allah. Not only is this book distinguished due to the importance of the subject matter but also due to the methodology adopted by the author for which he is well known. The reader will find that the majority of the book consists of verses of the Qur'an, ahadith of the Prophet (PBUH), and sayings of the early Muslims. The explanation presented at the end of each chapter of Kitab al-Tawhid is that of the renowned scholars 'Allamah 'Abd Al-Rahman al-Sa'di, counted among the major scholars of recent times. He was born in Al-Qasim, Saudi Arabia, in the year 1307 AH, and from a young age became engrossed in the attainment of knowledge. His dedication and thirst for knowledge led him to become an authority in many of the Islamic sciences as is evident from the books that he authored. He passed away in the year 1376 AH, may Allah have mercy on him. Four principles of shirk This book the author explains the dangerous concept of shirk through four simple principles. The sin of shirk? Or associating partners with Allah? Is the most reprehensible act that a person can do. It is for this reason that this sin is the one sin that Allah has promised He will never forgive. Unfortunately many Muslims who are unaware of the reality of shirk fall into it out of ignorance. This short treatise is an ideal work for the Muslim in order to understand the essence of shirk, and thus essential reading for the one who wishes to avoid falling into the greatest trap of shaytan. The explanation of the work of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab has been taken from the works of Ibn Jibrin, Salih Aal al-Sheikh, and other major scholars.

  • A Commentary on the Creed of Al-Imam Al-Tahawi

DAR AL-ARQAM A Commentary on the Creed of Al-Imam Al-Tahawi

Creed is the basis of religion. It is the substance of the first pillar of Islam, the testimony that there is no [deity worthy of worship except] Allah and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. Therefore much focus has to be given to it. It has to be learned, and so does that which infringes it, so that man becomes discerning and upon the correct belief. Because if someone’s faith is based on a correct foundation, it is valued and accepted by Allah; but if it is based on shaky and precarious beliefs, or on incorrect beliefs, then it is not correct and has no foundation. This is why the scholars gave such precedence to creed and why they never slackened in teaching it during their lessons and on special occasions. And the later generations related it from the earlier ones. As time passed, the sects and disagreements appeared, and Islam was accepted by those in whose hearts the creed was not firmly grounded, or by those who entered into the religion whilst having deviant ideas, and some new Muslims did not refer to the Quran and Sunnah for matters of creed, instead referring to theories and methodologies that the people of error founded on their own accord. The rise of these occurrences created the need for the Muslim imams to teach and revise the correct creed as well as write it and narrate it from the learned ones of the Ummah. Therefore, they wrote literature on creed and were very much concerned with it. This literature became a reference point for the Muslims who would come later, right until the coming of the Hour. Among these imams who wrote about the creed of the Salaf was al-Imam Abu Ja’far Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Tahawi, who was a scholar from the third century in Egypt. He wrote this creed according to the views of Ahl al-Sunnah in general, which includes al-Imam Abu Hanifah al-Nu’man in Thabit al-Koofi – who was the earliest of the four imams and met the Tabi’un and related from them – as well as his two disciples: Abu Yüsuf and Muhammad al-Shaybani and the imams of the Hanafi school of jurisprudence. .
