Description
This monumental work is a comprehensive commentary on Kitab At-Tawheed by the late Shaykh Muhammad al-Uthaymeen. The essence of Tawheed—affirming the Oneness of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime—lies in recognizing His Ruboobiyyah (Lordship), Uloohiyyah (Worship), and Asmaa wa Sifaat (Names and Attributes).
Originally authored by Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab ibn Sulaymaan At-Tameemee, Kitab At-Tawheed explores the various dimensions of monotheism: its meaning, the Qur’anic and authentic Sunnah-based conditions for its soundness, the matters that nullify it completely, and those that weaken its strength.
With his distinctive clarity, depth, and analytical precision, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen masterfully explains these concepts in his commentary titled “Al-Qawl al-Mufeed ‘Ala Kitab at-Tawheed.” This explanation serves as a detailed guide to understanding one of the most fundamental works on the Oneness of Allah—the very foundation of Islam and the purpose of human creation.
As mentioned in an authentic hadith recorded in both Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) said:
“I have loved the people of the tribe of Banu Tamim ever since I heard three things the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about them. I heard him say: ‘The people of Banu Tamim will stand firm against the Dajjal (the False Messiah).’ When the Sadaqat (charitable donations) from that tribe arrived, the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘These are the Sadaqat of our people.’ A’ishah (رضي الله عنها) had a slave girl from that tribe, and the Prophet ﷺ said to her, ‘Set her free, for she is a descendant of Isma’il (peace be upon him).’”
Through such timeless insights, Kitab At-Tawheed and its commentary illuminate the light of true monotheism—Tawheed, the central pillar of faith and the ultimate purpose of our creation.
