Allah SWT says,«Do you not see how Allah sets forth a metaphor of a good word: a good tree whose roots are firm and whose branches are in the sky? It bears fruit all the time by its Lord’s permission. Allah sets forth metaphors for people so that hopefully they will pay heed.» [Ibrahim (14): 24-25] Allah has likened the statement of faith, which is the best of statements, with a tree that is the best of trees bearing these noble characteristics. Its roots are firm, it is always growing and maturing and it bears fruit all the time, directing its numerous benefits and delectable fruits to its owner and others.  This tree varies greatly in the hearts of the believers, changing in accordance to the variation of the qualities that Allah has described it with. Therefore it is upon the servant to hasten towards acquiring knowledge about it, its descriptions, that which leads to its existence and potency, its roots and its branches. A detailed and authoritative discussion on the important subject of tawassul (or seeking a means of nearness to Allaah). Although this topic is central to our belief there is very little authentic information available in the English language. In his usual scholarly manner the Sheikh very convincingly clarifies the issue and identifies the types of tawassul that are approved of in the Qur’an and Sunnah. The Sheikh also goes to great lenghths to show the falsity of the invented forms of tawassul, refuting the doubts that are raised one by one - in an extremely convincing manner.

A critical study of shirk This work, which is a detailed explanation of one of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab's most important works, deals with explaining and refuting the evidences that were used by certain Muslim groups of his time to justify acts of shirk (the act of associating partners with Allah). It is entitled Kash al-Shubuhat, which literally translates as: 'the clearing of doubts.' Ibn Abd al-Wahhab intended in this work to expose the falsity and speciousness of these arguments by proving that the pagans whom the Prophet (pbuh) fought utilized the exact same arguments and fell prey to the same reasoning as these modern practitioners of shirk did. It is one of the most advanced works on the subject, and over a dozen different arguments and evidences used to justify shirk are presented and then refuted.
