This seven colour coded system has been introduced to highlight the Rules of Tajweed, with each colour representing a Tajweed Rule. The Tajweed Rule allows the reciter to emphasise the accent, phonetics, rhythm and temper of The Quranic recitation.
This humble effort is an attempt to facilitate the Tilaawah of The Holy Quran with proper Tajweed. This is a nice hardbound edition of the popular 3-column format Holy Quran with Colour Coded Arabic Text, Romanised (Transliterated) English, and Colour Coded English translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. The Quran comes with the "Persian" script, commonly used in India, Pakistan and throughout the world (Indo Pak).
The advantage of a "romanised" transliteration of the Quran is that it allows the beginner to quickly learn Quranic Arabic script and to be able to sound out problematic verses or words of the Quran. It can also be used as an aid in proper enunciation and pronunciation of Quranic Arabic text for English speakers. It is a fact that no system of perfect transcription is possible, however, it has to be acknowledged that Mr. Abdul Haleem Eliasi’s (Transliterater) approach is simple and near to perfection.
