Description
The exact number of prophets and messengers sent by Allah is not specified, but the Qur’an affirms that they were sent to different communities throughout history to call people to Tawhid — the worship of Allah alone. Muslims believe that every messenger — including those shared with Judaism and Christianity — delivered the same fundamental message of pure monotheism and submission to the One God, Allah.
Acknowledging and respecting all prophets and messengers is a core element of Islamic belief; Muslims do not distinguish between them in terms of honour or reverence.
